Upstairs Living- Open-Concept Elegance The heart of our home features a stunning open-concept layout with soaring vaulted ceilings and warm wood paneling that creates an authentic cabin atmosphere: 🍳 Fully-Equipped Kitchen: Vintage-inspired appliances, Reverse Osmosis water filtration, and every cooking tool imaginable—air fryer, Instant Pot, Ninja blender, and more! Propane tank may need to be filled.) 💤 Upstairs Bedroom & Bath: Enjoy a restful night on a premium queen memory foam bed, and refresh in our rustic-chic bathroom with a rainfall shower. The bathroom also features a rainfall shower, but due to the charmingly low ceilings, guests over 5'6" may find it more comfortable to enjoy a relaxing soak instead of a shower. This enchanting oasis is easily accessible from both the primary bedroom and the hidden "secret" bedroom. 🌟 Private Lower Deck: Step out from the primary bedroom or speakeasy to unwind in the 7-person hot tub or relax on the vintage-inspired porch swing. Take in breathtaking views of the towering trees and sprawling backyard, with beach towels and plastic cups (found in the kitchen) provided for your jacuzzi enjoyment. Please note: In the mountains, WiFi can occasionally be a bit spotty, and there are no refunds for loss of service. 🌡️Radiant wall heating, easily controlled by Nest thermostats, plus a fireplace-style space heater in the speakeasy and hidden bedroom for added warmth and ambiance. A quick note: the upstairs bedroom and living room share the same thermostat, so you may want to turn it down or crack a window before settling in for the night for your ideal sleeping temperature. ❄️ Ductless mini-split AC located in the living room, a portable AC unit in the upper bedroom (only during summer), and multiple standing oscillating fans for those rare warm days 👕 Washer/dryer with provided supplies (detergent and dryer sheets provided as well as iron and ironing board) 💻 Multiple comfortable workspaces for remote work

Thank you for your cooperation! 😊 1) Quiet Hours (10 PM - 7 AM) 🌙 Please be mindful of noise during these hours to respect our neighbors. It helps keep the peace around here! 2) Trash & Recycling 🗑️♻️ Keep the black trash bin locked and only put trash in it (no recycling in there and no trash in the recycling bin, please!). If the bin is full, you can take extra trash to Big Bear Transfer Station, 38550 Holcomb Valley Road . If not, a $25 fee will apply. 3) Maximum Occupancy- 8 (including infants) 🚷 Please note, no parties are allowed on the property. 🚫 Please respect the maximum occupancy limits—this is for everyone’s safety and comfort. 4) Pets on Leashes 🐕 Keep your pets on a leash when they’re not in the backyard with the deck gate latched. Safety first for everyone! 5) BBQ & Propane 🍖 The propane tank for the BBQ is available, but please fill it yourself if you need more fuel (DIY store is just 10 minutes away!). Clean up the BBQ after use to avoid a cleaning fee. Thanks! 🔥 6) Jacuzzi Fun 💦 The jacuzzi is ready for you! Just set the temp between 99-102°F when you arrive, and make sure to turn off the jets and lights when done. Don’t forget to put the cover back! (A $25 fee if the cover isn’t replaced.) 7) General Cabin Etiquette 🏠 Eco-friendly Reminder: Please turn off lights, TVs, and appliances when you’re not using them. 🌍 Snow Chains/4x4: If it’s snowing, be sure to have chains or a 4x4 vehicle. We clear snow when it’s over 4 inches. ❄️ Keep the Inside Clean: No wet clothes on the furniture, and keep pets off fabric furniture (leather sofa is fine!). 🛋️ Rinse Before Jacuzzi: Helps avoid extra cleaning fees! 💧 BBQ: Clean and cover the grill after use, please! 🍔 8) Safety First ⚠️ Please supervise children and pets, especially around the spiral stairs, heaters, and in the backyard. Charlene’s place is very charming, clean and comfortable. We actually were booked somewhere else but there was damage to the property from previous guest and we were cancelled last minute. We were scrambling to get another reservation as we were literally in town with no place to go. Charlene responded very quickly. She was very nice. Gave clear instructions. My friend and I loved the house. The view from the top deck is very peaceful. The hot tub and the claw foot soaking bath were my personal favorite.

Charlene’s place was perfect for our sister getaway. The house has a unique vintage charm—welcoming, cozy, and full of character. We used the hot tub both evenings, and it was spotless and set to the perfect temperature. The yard was great for our Great Dane to stretch her legs, and the neighbor’s dogs we’d read about in other reviews were actually very sweet when we got to meet them. They do bark occasionally, but it was never disruptive for us. They also help alert to wildlife in the area, and Charlene even provided earplugs in the kitchen just in case. They were quiet after dark, so no nighttime barking at all. All the beds were incredibly comfortable. I slept in both the downstairs king and the bottom bunk in the hideaway room—my favorite little spot. It was dark, quiet, private, and perfect for unwinding. The décor throughout the home was gorgeous. We kept planning to take pictures, but ended up just relaxing, lounging, and catching up on sleep instead. The house had everything

This house was perfect. Charlene had music playing upon entry, it was perfectly on theme and felt so personable, it was all such a vibe. Kitchen had plenty supplies, jacuzzi was hot and clean - there are curtains on the side for added privacy which I thought was great. Big beautiful windows made it lovely to watch snow fall, she had a great selection of games and the Pac-Man machine was awesome. It was very cozy, clean & quiet- with plenty of towels/toiletries/comfy blankets. Heater/AC system was easy and convenient, WiFi and TVs worked perfectly. Neighbors were pretty close by, but they were polite and pleasant. I did have trouble getting the shower hot enough one night but someone before me did have a very hot shower and may have used up a lot of the water, it was back to normal the next day + the rest of our stay & not an issue. I’ve stayed at many, seriously one of the best Airbnb’s out there! Would absolutely love to stay again, with warmer weather to BBQ! Thank you for having us!

Cute, cozy home with charming vintage décor. We really enjoyed our stay! The backyard is surprisingly spacious, even though we didn’t get a chance to spend much time out there. The Speakeasy room was definitely my favorite part — such a unique touch. Overall, a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this place, and I’d stay again next time I’m in Big Bear!
